SILENCED
Talking to you only in a dream,
Wanting you so much I nearly scream
Watching from the sidelines,
Waiting for my chance...
But it seems there's always someone
Or SOMETHING, trying to hold me back
You walk by me in silence,
As I softly whisper your name.
I choose to look away,
That way I can't feel the pain
(The pain of not having you near me,
When I need you most)
AN END
The end is coming,
I feel it near.
Yet there is no one around to hear.
The crashing and the falling down,
Of everything
As I look around
*I* move slowly on you see,
While you sit with others--Away from me
I see only anger when I look into your eyes,
In the place of the happiness I used to so prize
Once again I am hiding in the shadows,
Tucked back behind the trees,
While you leave me all alone begging on my knees
(for more of your love & what I so desperately need)
DEAD ENDS
I'm so tired of being what everyone wants me to be,
Why can't you WAKE up to see
What all you are doing to me?
I am what I am,
And I'm tired of changing.
But you seem unwavering
Ignorant to all your thoughtless actions
And repetitive comments--
What makes you so sure I really care?
You feel it's your duty
To tell me how it should be.
Only how you see it,
Just isn't right for me
I laugh
To try & hide my pain,
Funny thing is,
I don't think smiling makes it all go away...
A POET
An empty page-
A poet's worst nightmare
Is there nothing left to say?
O.k., I'm ready & waiting now,
For life's next disaster to come flying my way
Poets are the true lovers of this world--
The star-crossed ones
Of the night.
The dreamers mixed with the realists,
The ones who always have a new insight
To be a poet,
You don't need to use a bunch of fancy words
Or talk about things you do not know...
The only thing that is needed, are those desperate words Spoken from
your TRUE heart & soul
